Lanka hosts some finest golf courses in Asian continent. The country has
been in contact with the game for more than 100 years. Sri Lanka Amateur
Golf Championship, institutionalised in 1891, holds the second position
after the British Amateur as the oldest National Championship in the world.
Three most famous golf courses in Sri Lanka are situated in Colombo,
Victoria (near Kandy) and Nuwara Eliya. All three golf courses have
different landscape and climatic conditions. One can experience the thrill
of playing Golf in three different countries! Along with the golf package, a
City Tour of Colombo and a tour to Kandy is included.
Day 01 : Colombo
Our representatives would greet you in Colombo airport and escort you to
your car. We would help you to extract the maximum of your holidays in
Colombo. It is a city where peace and frenzied activities co-exist. The
Galle Face, applauded as signature piece of Victorian architecture, yet
retains the dignified and polite atmosphere. It has been refurbished several
times to protect its historic status in more modern times. Several
restaurants, which offer quality fish, are on ocean frontage. Few places are
better than Colombo to watch a sunset. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02 : Colombo
Have delicious breakfast. You would go for a sightseeing tour of
Colombo. Meander through the commercial and city centre area known as the "Fort",
built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Tour the bustling markets of
Pettah. Visit the National Museum known for its invaluable collection of
lovely antiques and art objects.You would also be taken to spots like town
hall, Independence square, the B.M.I.C.H (International Convention Centre)
and Cinnamon gardens residential region. Included in your itinerary is the
Zoological gardens at Dehiwala.
Day 03 - 04 : Colombo
Play a game of golf at Royal Colombo Golf Club, one of the oldest golf
clubs in the world. The Galle Face Green was the birthplace and nursery of
golf in Ceylon. The ground was used for games such as Horse Racing, Cricket,
Golf, Rugby, Football, and Hockey. In present days this course is 5'770 m
long . Stay at night in hotel.
Day 05 : Kandy
Move on to Kandy. En route tour Pinnawela, an amusing elephant orphanage.
Pinnawala is the home of some 60 or more elephant orphans. Most baby
elephants are accustomed to humans. Also visit typical Sri Lankan crafts and
a spice garden.
Reach Kandy and take some rest. A prominent attraction in Kandy is the
Dalada Maligawa, the temple holding the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha.
Kandy Lake increases the beauty of the City. Kandy is a very romantic city.
Also visit the Market Place, an art and crafts show room. Travel to the
Botanical Gardens, where you can view a rare assemblage of tropical exotic
and indigenous flora.
Day 06 - 07 : Kandy
Have few games at Victoria golf Club. It presents a unique golfing
challenge to players of all capabilities, and is rated amongst the topmost
beautiful courses in the world. The golf course has used of the existing
undulating landscape. Coconut and majestic hardwood trees have been included
into the overall look.

08: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
Enjoy beautiful natural scenery to Nuwara-Eliya. As we gain elevation the
vegetation of the region also alters. Tea Gardens start to appear on the
slopes and waterfalls of various strengths appear frequently. The road keeps
on clinging to the mountains. The views of terrace cultivation of tea and
occasionally of paddy are a very fascinating sight. We would stop at St.
Clair Tea estate's restaurant for a 'garden fresh' cup of tea.
Day 09 : Nuwara Eliya
Go on a sightseeing visit to Nuwara-Eliya. In 1819, when the area was ruled
by the Britishh, a few Britishers on a hunting expedition spotted the site.
They decided to establish a health resort there. Later Sir Samuel Baker
remodeled it as a holiday resort with an English ambiance. This speciality
lent it the name 'Little England'. Tour Hakgala Botanical gardens known for
exotic trees, shrubs and herbs.
Day 10 : Golfing in Nuwara Eliya
This Nuwara Eliya golf course is among Asia's finest game spots. All the
fairways are narrow and long. The golf course is abutted by fir trees and
thick bushes. The game requires skilful "position play". Hilly
landscape makes it mandatory that players can cope with up-hill and downhill
landscape.
Day 11 : Nuwara Eliya - Colombo -
Departure
You can pass your morning in any activity you want. You would then be
exorted to Colombo airport to board your onward flight.
