Location
Hikkaduwa beach is located on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, about
20km to the north-west of Galle. The beach resort destination is on the way
from Colombo to Galle on the famous Galle road.

You can bus/train/car for Hikkaduwa. As for accommodation best places for
residing are in area called Wewala, 3km off railway station/bus stand.
Apparels as Souvenirs
Hikkaduwa has got number of tailors. Several families who lost their
everything in 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami were given sewing machines as help
to earn their livelihood. These people use the machines to make customised
apparel for their customers.
