South West Coast


South West Coast of Sri LankaPretty sandy beaches and mangrove fringed lagoons make South West Coast of Sri Lanka tourworthy. You would have to move only 60km south from Capital Colombo to find pristine beach stretches. Numerous resorts are located on the coastline. Roads and rails run parallel to the coastline. Back-in roads in Kalutura takes one to the rubber estates. You can occasionally see ancient temples. One can also enjoy the waterfalls in the region.


Beaches
Bentota and Aluthgama are known for some fine beaches as well as hotels and resorts. These are also vibrant fish markets, segregated by the Bentota Ganga. You can enjoy yourself on two fronts. On the seashore you can indulge in swimming, diving and deep sea fishing, while on the river you can try activities like wind surfing, skiing and boating. When the boat would move against the stream passing through the mangroves you would have a pleasure-filled feeling.

Activities
You can choose to live in a high-end hotel, boutique hotel or villa. Enjoy the Sri Lankan spirit here as well as mouthwatering sea food. On the beaches here you can see gentle and giant sea creatures. You can enhance your fun with the nightlife here. Take wine in any of the bar here and shake your legs in the nightlife centres. You can disco the whole night before you sleep. This region of Sri Lanka is also known for its Ayurvedic centres. However, for experiencing the effects of Ayurveda you would have to stay for at least two weeks. Also have sessions of Yoga here. Enjoy rustic way of life in coastal hamlets. The prettty bays would give you refreshing feeling.
