Day 01 : Arrival - Colombo
You would be accorded a traditional Sri Lankan welcome at the airport when
you arrive in Colombo. You would be taken to your hotel then and presented
with necessary documents.
Day 02 : Colombo
After having wonderful breakfast we would leave on a sightseeing tour of
Colombo. We drive through the commercial and city centre area known as the "Fort",
built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. A highlight would be a visit to
the bustling and colourful markets and bazaars of Pettah; the National
Museum with its fine collection of lovely antiques and art of Sri Lanka.
Drive past town hall, Independence square, the B.M.I.C.H (International
Convention Centre) and Cinnamon gardens residential area. We would visit
Dehivala for seeing Zoological Gardens.
Day 03 : Colombo - Sigiriya -
Habarana
Early morning we would commence our journey to Habarana. Sigiriya
would fall on our route. On the summit of the Sigiriya rock (meaning the
'Lion Rock') that is over 1.5 hectares in extent is the remains of a large
palace, the earliest surviving royal palace in Sri Lanka, with several
chambers and a bathing pond. In a sheltered pocket of the giant rock are the
celebrated paintings of 5th century AD, a few which is remaining from around
500 paintings that once covered the rock surface. Meticulously planned water
gardens at the foot of the rock are the earliest such gardens found in Asia.
The boulder gardens are a fine example of landscaping while conserving the
environment. The Mirror Wall, which had been exposed to elements for over
fifteen centuries still carry some of the original sheen that has given it
the name. The site has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Day 04 : Habarana
Habarana has everything a tourist can dream of. lakes, lush gardens, a
sprawling resort, and the disarming hospitality of the staff. It would be a
day for romantic togetherness and if you wish to walk out to the countryside
or make short forays to sites of artistic interest. You would find that
Habarana has everything you had expected.
Day 05 : Habarana - Kandy

Move
on to Kandy after having your breakfast. See typical Sri Lankan crafts on
your way. Batik is a popular art in this region. You can also take the
pleasure of oil massage. Hill Capital of Kandy was the last fort of the
Sinhala kings and is a charming city offering a living record of a
magnificent past. Kandy Lake increases the charm of the City. Market Place
is a popular art & crafts show room. A preferred way of passing your
holidays in Sri Lanka would be Kanyan dances. Unique ways of the dance
intrigue the visitors.
After touring Kandy you would return to Columbo and then to your home
country.
